This story was amazing. It kept my interest the whole way through. If I was a person who cried, I probably would have been sobbing through most of this book. It was just such a heartfelt story of attempting to find solace when dealt the worst hand of fate.

I feel like I can recommend this book to a lot of people - I cannot imagine a lot of people wouldn't enjoy this story and the writing. ...more

**Short "end of the month" Review**

I think this will forever be my favorite book. I read this about 2yrs ago, but it never got put on Goodreads, so i re read it for that and so i can have the pain fresh in my mind for the movie coming up!

I really hope the tattoos make it into the movie! I kinda see a huge difference in how the relationship between her and her sister is portrayed in the movie vs. the book. Is she going to have a kid in the movie too?! And is there going to be Grandpa as well!? I ...more

Okay, so I´m a bit late to the game, I know.
Haven´t seen the movie and haven´t read the book before now and the only reason is because I knew the plot, I was pretty sure I would hate it so I decided to just leave it for a while.
I didn´t hate it, not at all. It was a very good story.
I was sure I would not cry (since I knew how it would end)...yeah right! I was a sobbing mess!!!
But even though it absolutely wrecked me, I liked it, it was a good story.

OH POR DIOS ESTE LIBRO!
Me gusto mucho la forma de escribir de esta autora y que nos dejara ver la historia mas desde solo un punto de vista aunque alla sido tan solo por pequenos momentos.
No esperaba que la historia se desarrollara asi pero eso fue lo que la volvio interesante, los personajes al menos protagonicos son super que divertidos, me encanta que te expliquen como paso todo y ver como la historia se iba desarrollando y algunas cosas cambiando y mejorando, el final fue tan shockeante pero ...more

I've been avoiding reading this book for years. I thought it would be too sad and I would not like the ending. But on the contrary the book mostly focused on the positive. In my opinion this was not a love story, but something so much more. I'm glad I finally read it and curious to continue Lou's story. ...more

Honestly, I was a little disappointed with this book. It could have been any of the following reasons:
1) It has really good ratings and I thought it would be a really good book.
2) I went into this book completely blind.
3) The setting was not the United States.
4) I didn't really love the main characters.
5) I had waited three months for this book at the library (I was number 126 when I put a hold on it in July).
6) I was just trying to finish the book before my loan ended because I did not want ...more

I am completely speechless
This is not what I expected at all, sure its a love story but not an orthodox one
not all stories have to end happy and though its taking a lot out of me to accept this right now, it was a very beautiful book and I am very glad I read it.
