in cesarine, witches like lou are hunted. she tries to hide her identity, but must steal to survive, and one day, she is caught. reid is one of the people who hunts witches, and to avoid dishonor, he must marry lou, who only agrees to avoid death.

although it says right there in the synopsis, it completely slipped my mind that this book had the force’s marriage trope so i was pretty excited when i got to that party haha. lou and reid were actually my favorite part of this book. i absolutely loved ...more

I truly enjoyed this story! This was such an interested romance fantasy book, and I liked it so much! I listened to the audiobook and I loved that it was told in duel POV. This book is about a witch hunter and a witch... and guess what? It's also a marriage of convience book. I don't always love the false identity trope, but clearly this one was necessary and I loved it so much. I loved seeing the characters open up to one another. I loved the plot and the action. This was just such a good read ...more

Quite an interesting book. Intriguing magic system and world building. The characters were very serious and passionate about their beliefs. I liked the ending and maybe someday will read the next book.
