I listened to this as an audio book and I really enjoyed it. But I was shocked an bit bummed when I got to the end and, in the author note, he talked about how much thought and work went in to the images and photos in the story. Well. . .I'm sad I didn't wait and get a physical copy and instead jumped on the audio as soon as it was ready at the library.

Even without the images, the story is jarring but interesting. The mix of reality played with not quite reality kept me wondering - where do the ...more

A novel written in the style of a true crime book - its genius.

Richard Chizmar describes the - fictional - murders that took place in his hometown in 1988. An aspiring horror novelist, together with his journalist friend, he tries to track down the person responsible.

I loved this book, it brought me back to the old style horror movies of the 80's, think Halloween or Friday the 13th in book form and this is exactly what Chasing the Boogeyman is. I knew from the get go this was all fiction but t ...more
