Don't know why I waited so long to start this series. There was so much that went on but having a hot vampire to fall in love with is a good start. I can't believe that someone would want to hurt Tina. Really? There were some interesting moments and can't wait to see whats to come in the next books. ...more

I didn't finish the series yet during my first read-through years ago, so I thought to start from the beginning again. I didn't like it as much. The romance here reminds me a lot of the "romance" in the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, where the MC is with the guy mainly because they're immune to whatever ability the MC has. In Addie's case, only two people can remember her beyond a day, and she romanced them both; in here, Sookie can't read Bill's mind. The characters (or maybe it's the narration ...more
