Although the book is engaging, the switches between authors can be jarring, changing the narrative voice. Moreover, the non-linear storytelling and multiple settings can make it difficult to keep track of characters and events. Nevertheless, the book is a compelling read, and the story is intriguing. I definitely preferred Yvonne Navarro and Keith R.A. de Candido's stories a little more than everyone else's. Plus, looking back on the last few years, I might be able to take a guess as to why the U.S. has such a higher than other places around the world.
