Not necessarily bad but I've definitely outgrown these kind of books. I picked this one up because I was intrigued by the MC coping with anxiety in a fantasy world. From the blurb I also expected she would be pretty badass. Turns out it read like a YA romance.
It started all right but then pretty quickly followed the 'high school' drama, teenage angst, instant love, endless thinking about instant lover, angst... 41% in and I was already exhausted. The juvenile dialogue especially was off putting. ...more
