A Good Girl's Guide to Murder follows Pip as she tries to uncover the truth behind a murder in her small town.
Jackson creates a very addictive narrative, and I had so much fun reading this!
I loved Pip as a character, and Ravi was absolutely brilliant as well.
I didn't actually realise this was mixed media until I picked it up, and was pleasantly surprised! ...more

A mystery story in which I liked the characters as much as the case being investigated.
Pippa, in particular was very likeable and her family even more so. Loved how comfortable they were with each other and the relationship she shared with her parents.
For her final year school project, Pippa decides to investigate the disappearance of Andie Bell,a case that was deemed closed when it happened 5 years ago with Sal Singh being charged with Andie's murder. Pippa believes Sal was innocent and sets ou ...more

I'll admit- I got a little bored with all the clue finding. This is mostly because Pip really didn't have to work for them. I mean, she did travel and talk to people, but the thing is- people just talked about their dead friend. Giving away secrets. Her sister. Her teacher. Everyone. Just spilling all the info. And it was so easy for Pip.
However, the end was on fire. If collecting the clues was easy, putting them all together was difficult

I enjoyed this one and the story to prove that sometimes the obvious answer isn't the true one while other times it is. I had parts of the mystery figured out before they happened but a few things were surprises. I did love the format of this book. It was so different and it really worked for getting this story across.

“But sometimes remembering isn’t for yourself, sometimes you do it just to make someone else smile."
You know that feeling when you love a book so much that, when you try and put your love into words, you keep coming up blank?
Yeah, that’s me right now.
I picked this book up because I was in a thriller mood and this was E V E R Y W H E R E. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in: the hype train has been both kind and cruel to me. Thankfully, I needn’t have worried because this was incredible!
