Re-read 2020 (dala bych tomu 2*, ale zase budeme dělat průměr)
Abych byla upřímná, tak teď nevím co se mi na té knížce dřive tolik líbilo (znovu si budu muset přečíst svoji recenzi). America je na zabití a neustále mění své nárory a nálady. V jednu chvíli je naprosto rozhodnutá pro jednoho a ve vteřině si to rozmyslí. Soudí příliš rychle, poměrně jednoduše se nechá i ovlivnit a taky nepřemýšlí nad tím, co by její chování mohlo způsobit.

I loved this book even more than the Selection, which is always a good thing to me. I liked that there were a lot less girls left, just 6, which made it a lot more fun and interesting to read. Maxon seemed a little different in this book, but I feel that a lot of the changes were because of how America had treated him. I didn't like America's indecision, at all! The ending was dramatic and very good, left me wanting to start the next book immediately. I definitely would recommend this series. ...more

2 stars. Those two very generous stars are only for Prince Maxon. Man, what a giant step backwards. I really enjoyed the first book, but this one was aggravating. The world building still makes absolutely no sense. I could see where Ms. Cass was trying to explain the society, but really it didn't help anything but to just annoy me even more. What the hell was with all of those random attacks? They were so frequent that when one came on I was just like "Oh, another one? *rolls eyes* I guess."
