Unexpected, different, hard to categorise but I would say NOT but nearly steampunk. An original story, well executed.

Such a beautiful book cover!

Everybody, professors and students and Proctors the same, knew that if the sign said 'do not walk on the grass', one hopped. Anybody who didn't had failed to understand what Oxford was. (c)

I’m not allways a huge fan of this genre (steampunk) but this was a very entertaining book.
When several bombs in London are placed, the MC gets saved thanks to a watch he found some time ago on his pillow. While searching for the bombmaker we get to know our protagonists, theirlves and annoyances better.

Good book, esp. If you like the genre

This really had potential, but was a tad confusing and really confusing at the end.

The characters were likeable and worked, it was the time shift that actually seemed to fail the most on execution. I wouldn't mind having Mori's mad invention skills at my side.

This book had me at the Steampunkish cover! I started the ebook but switched to the audiobook and it was the all-around best decision. The narrator coo’d the story to life for me.

Sometimes books find you. In this case, I don't remember buying it, and i read it to fulfil a challenge but I am very good I did. I very much fell in love with the collection of characters in this book. Its not really steampunk, there is just enough of it there to make things interesting. A bit like a cute animal cartoon character. ...more

Not what I was expecting, this is more of a romance set in Victorian period in London with an interesting twist on time travel. The characters never quite lived up to their potential and the more fascinating portions of the plot were underdeveloped.
