A pretty meh rendition of Aladdin. I think it was great to see a twisted story/plot and I loved seeing a new angle. There were some things that didn't jive with the rest of the story like the undead army. Zombies just didn't have a place in this story for me. Jafar's regime was pretty Nazi-esque and a total dictatorship which wasn't a surprise. Glad they still got their happy ending.

An interesting twist on the classic Aladdin story. Robin Williams role as the genie spoiled me, so I was a bit disappointed that genie was more serious in this story. I still enjoyed the new twist in the classic story.

It was hard to disassociate the book from the movie. The story started out so similar, but then there were some differences. (view spoiler) I plan on reading more in this series, hopefully I enjoy the other books more than this one.
