Holly Black never fails to surprise me. And, her more recent releases completely woo me. Her writing is amazing. Lyrical and lovely without trying. But above all, she always takes a genre or story I think I know and shows me how much I really don't know.

I always feel like it is a hit or miss with me and Holly Black books but this one was a real hit with me. The story revolves around a brother and sister who live in a town where people are very aware of the magical Folk who live right outside there borders. Hazel and her brother Ben are both aware of the dangers of living so close to the Folk and something seems to have angered the Folk because things in town are getting out of control.
