How do you even begin to do what is right, when doing the right thing means losing the one you love?
"Happy birthday to me, I thought bitterly. Eighteen at last. It was nothing like I had expected."
That quote from Rose pretty much sums up the book nicely. In a sense that it definitely will knock your expectations way out of the ballpark, it was a nail-biting, page turner that had me firmly in its grip till the last page.

THAT ENDING WAS TERRIBLE.
I can't believe that happened. Like at all. Seriously. No. I refuse to believe it.
But I have to believe it. And I have to wait until the next one to see what Rose is going to do about it.
So I mentioned Adrian in the last review. I really love him. I guess I have a thing for tortured souls or something. But I see so much potential in him. If things with Dimitri don't work out, I almost wouldn't be disappointed. Adrian is great.

This is my favorite installment to the Vampire Academy series. Rose used to be this annoying, skanky-like girl, but she's the one who has grown throughout the books the most. She's more mature as each book goes by. Dimitri used to so reserved, but he opens more throughout each book. Rose and Dimitri's love in this book is so beautiful that the characters both know it's wrong to deny. Absolutely beautiful.
