Stephen Graham Jones is one sick puppy. I want to say that I'd love to spend time in his head but I keep picturing Jennifer Lopez's character in the movie The Cell. I'll pass.

In this collection you will find aliens, science fiction and of course, horror. The stories are easy to get into and read through and some may stay with you long after you've read them.

This is was so depressing, dark and strange, that it felt real.

After the People Lights Have Gone Off ★★★★☆
“In some houses love really can last forever.”

That was beautiful and disturbing. The disabled sleepwalker was a scary visual! I wish the story included what happened to the mother.

Stephen Graham Jones really understands horror, the way that the most mundane and ordinary things can be twisted just slightly off kilter into something terrifying.

It's a fantastic collection, and one which is likely to satisfy the most jaded of horror fans.

I'm not going to be able to do this one justice with my review. I really enjoyed this collection of stories, but as I understand it now, there is a whole other layer of meaning that the stories take if you consider them in conjunction with the work of other writers. So, since I did not do that, here is my review of just this volume.
