I read this because a science fiction and fantasy anthology group is discussing it. I expected to like it better than I did.
I had to push myself to read through the first story when nothing about it particularly interested me. I decided that I couldn't afford the time to read more of stories like that one. On the other hand, I really loved "Spider the Artist" by Nnedi Okorafor despite it being dark. I was inclined to like it because she is a favorite author.
