So to be honest I feel like this book was kind of a dissapointment? Like I went in with really high expectations because bookstagram has hyped up this book but it didn’t really meet my expectations. Like the book wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that good. I think I would have enjoyed this book a bit more for like 1-2 years ago tho!

Will probably still finish the series tho :-)

I was expecting the plot to go in a different direction and when I reached the last 40 pages I was like 'no, I don't like the way it goes, the ending will be so disappointing' but the it turned out to be really good and to be honest I am very very satisfied by it . Just amazing.

But from the beginning; I was here for the vibe. I grabbed this book expecting it to have this kinda mysterious, weird, magical vibe when you can't really tell what is happening (I can't really explain it properly, just go and listen to 'Carousel' by Melanie Martinez; that's the vibe I'm talking about).
I didn't really get what I was expecting to get but it definitely didn't disappoint me and it was truly so absorbing.
The plot was a little weird. I feel like there wasn't enough action (with the scary, magical, weird etc. vibe) and before those last 20 pages it was a solid 3 star read. But after those, it really deserves 4 stars. I am truly amazed how this book made me change my mind so fast.
Despite this, I really couldn't tear away form it. The plot twists were just so unexpected. Every time I assumed something would happen, it didn't, so it really was unpredictable. I definitely will be reading next parts (after my book buying ban because I have to buy them first lol).
Also Scarlett was SO annoying sometimes ugh. I can't tell that I dislike her but I definitely don't like her very much. But I can and will say that about Donatella 💪. I truly detest her.
Julian is okay I guess, I don't really have any strong feelings about him but he is the best character from those that we really got to know (which are Tella, Scarlett, their father and him so there really isn't a lot of competition).

This book is so unique.
The characters are beautifully created throughout the story and all the places have unique and creative names.
I love this book because it’s so detailed you can imagine everything in your mind, and because there are so many surprises and things you don’t realize until the end.
I will probably reread this just because I’m so shocked at how this was so good. Definitely read this.
