These six characters are AMAZING! There was not one POV that I didn’t enjoy, not one character I was bored by. The plot had me hooked but the characters really made me fall in love. Can’t wait to start Crooked Kingdom and continue to explore the Grishaverse!

Went back to give the book 5 starts bc I can’t stop thinking about these characters!

-I am SO GLAD I tried this book again! I’m reading it again just a year later but I think just that different us allowed me to have a better scope of the world and understand all the variables better- and WOW this book has a lot of moving parts

-Kanej stans: I understand you

-I called one of the plot twists at the end, which I’m super excited about

-this book is absolutely wild and so much more complex than Shadow and Bone- Leigh Bardugo’s writing is just at a whole new level. Rating: 4.5 rounded up

-the one thing I have to dock points for is just the morally grey area. I know a lot of book approach things this way, but as a Christian, when sin is shown in an ok light (in this book, lgbtq, murder) it doesn’t sit right with me. I still really liked this, and was able to not let influence get to me: however, if you’re new to your faith or just working on the building blocks of it, maybe try something a little lighter.

-all the characters are SO GOOD!! I think my favorites are Jesper, Inej, and Kaz. I started the show, and I’ll start to finish it now that I finished this book- I’m excited, especially because I can already tell the casting is stunning

-I love the Grishaverse a lot- the world building is just so good. Ravka and Kerch both feel so real to me

-I’m excited to read the next one! Apparently Crooked Kingdom is heavier than this though, so….we’ll see what awaits me!

This book is such a masterpiece!
I am not a huge rereader, but I've been getting it more recently after rereading The Cruel Prince and finding that I appreciated the characters and plot so much more, and it really allowed me to get a better scope of the book. Other books I have reread, however, don't hold up after you take away the suspense and surprise, so I avoid reading them so I don't ruin it for myself.
My experience rereading this could not have been more different than that!! Six of Crows is genuinely a masterpiece and a jewel among all literature, not just young adult. It's like a textbook for how so many books need to be written, and even as someone who's not an author or anything I found myself in awe of Bardugo's skill throughout the novel.
What is really unique in Six of Crows is the simultaneous complicated characters alongside a mastermind plot. The pacing was perfectly done, very engaging but taking time to establish characters and make you care, but the characters!! Works of art, all of them. So distinct in their voices and all go through different journeys. Love in my heart for each and every one of them. ...more

i cannot believe i put off reading this absolutely perfect, amazing, brilliant, otherworldly, exquisite, etc, book.
i really, really, really loved it and i love the characters and the plot and honestly every single thing about this book. i finished it in less than a day, can you believe that??? its amazing and i'd recommend it to everyone i know bc its written so nicely, gonna get the second book today and finish it by tomorrow obviously.

feeling kinda bittersweet that i finally finished this book bc of how LONG it took me to read it but i also got so attached to the characters 😭 inej ghafa is one of my favorite lead characters ever and GOD kanej just has my whole heart they’re so beautifully painful i cantttt. they’re definitely my favorite book “couple” ever. and ofc wesper and helnik are amazing as well, i love jesper slowly showing his feelings more and more for wylan and matthias and nina finding their way back to each other feeling kinda bittersweet that i finally finished this book bc of how LONG it took me to read it but i also got so attached to the characters 😭 inej ghafa is one of my favorite lead characters ever and GOD kanej just has my whole heart they’re so beautifully painful i cantttt. they’re definitely my favorite book “couple” ever. and ofc wesper and helnik are amazing as well, i love jesper slowly showing his feelings more and more for wylan and matthias and nina finding their way back to each other was tear jerking. nina and inej’s friendship was also so cute btw?? i do gotta say, this book is most definitely one of the slowest books i’ve ever read. maybe i’m just a slow reader but i started this book on may 29 and just ended now.. the book wasn’t interesting enough for me to keep reading and to finish quickly it just felt like it was dragging on and on. it picked up by the end tho which is how i finally actually read like 20 chapters in a few days but everything before that was definitely really slow. maybe it’s bc i got a ton of spoilers, spoiled stuff for myself, and basically knew the plot of the book without the details buttt yeah it took me forever to get through.

i will say miss leigh has impeccable talent, although i don’t think this writing style is really for me, the attention to detail and the plot twists at every corner was honestly amazing, this book was really well thought out and well written and you can tell. the detail got a little bit too much for me sometimes which is why i think i was so slow tho reading it, and i know this happened with a lot of other ppl, but i got SO confused at some parts, and i eventually figured some out but some are still mysteries to me. the characters however did save it and i loved reading kaz and inej’s povs especially.

honestly i’m just really glad to finally be over with this book bc ive been reading it for more than three months and it’s like a weight is lifted off my back 😭 hopefully ck has a faster pace and i can get through it faster but then again i’ve spoiled that for myself too so who knows.. this book does have some of the most complex and likable characters ever however and i’ve gotten so emotionally attached with all of them it’s crazy. i’m so glad ck exists and i don’t have to say good bye to them just yet 🥲 ...more

Dou 3 estrelas porque além da história não ser TÃO boa,porque teve alguns furos no Plot Twist.

Mas,é claro,que teve ótimos pontos. Um dos fatos são os personagens. Eles são bem construídos e me fez sempre me sentir tipo:"E agora?" ou "Espero que eles fiquem bem" .Tudo isso pelo fato de ter me apegado tanto a eles.

Kaz: Ele é um órfão sombrio que quando lhes oferecem uma fortuna em troca de um resgate,ele aceita.
