3.5 rounded up to 4 stars

I really enjoyed this good vs evil story. Right from the start, the way it was written with a kind of 'sparseness of information', drew me in completely.

You don't know who the 'HIM' is in the title, and that's what I mean by the 'sparseness'. There are very few characters to contend with, so you get to know them pretty well. Too well, sometimes. All except HIM.

The writer's style is different but not bad. I enjoyed the story even though it was a little difficult to follow at times, but he does a good job of bringing it together at the end and I always enjoy it when you get to the twist and you never saw it coming. I only gave it 3 stars because it is a little hard to follow at times but I will reccomend it because the twist near the end brings it together. I have preordered the next book. ...more

So I got this book as I'm an author and Scott was promoting this on Facebook. I see a lot of these types of book promos too. This one caught my eye, the story sounded appealing to me and I had to by a the paperback.

I was very impressed with this book. Good writing, good editing, and a very fun, fast, and exciting story. I read this in 2 sittings. I cannot wait until he releases the next book in the trilogy.

This novel is different that what I usually read. Demons roam the earth after a nuclear holocaust. As the humans come out of the underground bunkers, the demons kill or enslave them.

This book was different for me. Out of my norm, but I really liked it. The characters were solid and the story seemed to flow. I will definitely pick up book 2.
