I’ve been reading the SoC duology back-to-back, and that’s the best way to do it. The first book ends on such a cliffhanger, and I also didn’t want to leave the world Bardugo created. Overall, I really enjoyed Crooked Kingdom, but there’s something keeping me from loving it.

Actually kinda gutted at the fact I didn’t enjoy this duology as much as I hoped I would’ve. I actually prefer the S&B series over this. I love the characters dearly and the setting, but this book was a major drag. The first one was better. I felt like nothing really was happening for 80% of the book, which is just no thanks, especially for a book that is nearly 600 pages.
