I did NOT expect to like this book as much as I did. It was addicting, it was dynamic, it was hot, it was dramatic, it was action packed. The romance was such an ideal enemies-to-lovers plot, and it was done so well. I loved every second of it. I loved Alosa as a protagonist, and I loved Riden as a character. I still haven't read the sequel, but I will soon. I could not put this book down. It was everything I wanted and more. ...more

[2⭐️] I’m sorry... I DON’T GET THE HYPE *gasp from the audience*.

I went into this story SOOOO excited because... well pirates DUH. I was so ready to fall in love with ‘Alosa the bada** pirate, Daughter of the Pirate King’. But COME ON NOW she was such a BAD PIRATE AND THIS BOOK WAS BORING!!! Where was the pirate adventure? Where was the danger? BECAUSE IT CERTAINLY WASN’T HERE!! Sorry if I’m overdoing it with the caps but I’m a bit disappointed okayyy.
