three books in and I've realized that Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my all-time favs :)

I loved this book -- I went in expecting some sort of suspenseful mystery (don't ask me why I guess I didn't read the summary thoroughly enough) and it totally surpassed my expectations. the author has this remarkable talent for taking characters that are often viewed as obscenely privileged and one-dimensional and stripping them down in order to show that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. in a ...more

I never get tired of books like this, and TJR writes this type very well! She has easily become one of my favorite authors! This story had me hooked from beginning to end!

This book has singlehandedly cured my reading slump. I mean, I don't even know what to say, yet I can't say enough about this book. This is the only book I have given 5 stars this year, and that's saying a lot coming from me given that I usually give the vast majority of every book I read 5 stars. It just has not been the best reading year so far, but I can say that I have been cured!!! All thanks to you Malibu Rising and Taylor Jenkins Reid ...more
