To say the least I hated this book. I have no IDEA why I didn’t DNF it but I wish that I did.

I hated all the characters but for my baby Nikolai (it's ok b he's still YOUR hubby. Aarons still mine *glares around defensively* )

This is by far my favorite in the series, the ending was not what I had expected at all, in a good way, and the over all plot was amazing.

The side characters were all so well done and I loved every single one of them

OK. I thought that this book gave us a lot more insight as to why the darkling is the way he is, and if you needed to you could definitely argue that maybe how he grew up (mostly lonely because he has this immense power that alienates him from everyone else) kind of led him to be a psychopath. I'm not saying he's a good guy, he's very obviously the villain, but he's practically a Draco. Anyways. Why after three books is Alina still into Mal? He sucks. I personally don't ship Darklina or Malina, OK. Nikolai is still my favourite character, because he's the best, no explanation needed. I really liked Zoya and Harshaw towards the end. I thought that the more information that we got about Morozova and how it fits together was really brilliant. (I'm new at this I will do this manually) SPOILER ALERT

The Darkling's ending is sad. His dying wish is that Alina says his name so that he doesn't die alone. After all this time he's gotten used to the loneliness, but he's scared. <- This is literally Loki (even though Loki is like 100 times better) I saw a tiktok that was saying that all he needed was a strong connection to another person, and maybe things might have turned out different. I guess he just needed someone to love him. I have chosen to reiterate that I don't actually like the darkling. Also what he did to Keramzin - was on the verge of throwing up.
The fact that the squad visit each other makes me feel so soft, like that's so cute.

SPOILER OVER. I can't believe I haven't mentioned I AM BECOME A BLADE. <- LMAO, obviously it was on purpose, but it sounds like Mal was being indecisive about two tattoos and accidentally merged them *Insert glare from tattoo artist* "You sure you want that?" Mal who can't get over his pride "Yup, I am become a blade." No matter how heartwarming the ending is, I was kind of disappointed because again Alina by herself> Alina in a relationship. But I did think that it was a great full circle.

I think this trilogy was AMAZING
I was really surprised to see that not many people liked how this series ends but I absolutely loved the ending and though it was just perfect. I love the characters, and the storyline and how almost EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER ended in a way that made me jump right into the next one.
Thank you Leigh Bardugo so much for creating this magical world!!
