After rereading it, I still can’t believe how amazing this book is. It’s a thrilling dystopia that’s somewhat like The Hunger Games, but with slightly less violence. It focuses on Tris Prior as she grows from a girl into a woman, faces her fears, and learns valuable lessons. The books in this series always cause me to think deeply about the events and settings.

Better than The Hunger Games? Yes.
Relatable protagonist? Yes.
Strong female characters? Yes.
New fictional crush? YES!
Not to many deaths? Hades no.
Tris Prior is one of the most relatable protagonists for me anyways. She doesn’t really know who she is and she feels different and cut out from the rest of the people in Chicago.
