Frightening, flat out insane, terrifying and confusing are just a few of the words that immediately spring to mind to help describe this book. Mr. Dashner has created a horrifying version of earth where life as we know it has ended and circumstances beyond your understanding and control may very well kill you! You don't know what's going on, whom to trust, or where to turn. You can't remember where you came from or who you are and even your name may not be your own... Watch out for the grievers! ...more

chapter 9- I don't think that at all actually. I love the way he writes, it's just the kids slang I don't like. I think it's slow as if we are learning with Thomas. I love it so far. I'm on chapter 9, and I'm gonna start reading again now

I felt this book was great for junior high and higher boys. The book tells the story of a boy who is dropped into a secluded community by a lift. He has no memories of his life before his arrival, nor do any of the other boys in the glade. They all work in different areas and have made the place they arrived in a fully functioning community complete with everyone having assigned jobs. One day a girl arrives not long after Thomas, the main character, and before slipping into a coma, she announces ...more

Hey guys, so I finished the Maze Runner by James Dashner, and I must say, don't shoot me for this, but I think it followed the movie pretty well. *hides, then peeks head out* Yes, I watched the movie first. Sue me! -please don't- . Okay, so it was an easy read, I liked the authors writing style, however I thought he might have gone just a bit overboard with the scene entails. Just my opinion, take it for what it is. Anyway, I think the most enchanting thing about this book I the characters. I th ...more

Once I put it down, I found it really hard to pick back up. Well, I guess you could already see that from the fact that it took me 2 months to read. The epilogue though :O
