What Members Thought
This book brought me to tears on more than one occasion, and rightfully so. I feel that no words can truly express the amount of love and tragedy that is endured in this French view of WWII. This gripping novel follows two very different, but nonetheless brave sisters who attempt to salvage their family and their lives during a time of starvation, constant air raids, and German invasion. I will not write a lengthy review. If you enjoy historical fiction, this is a must read. I definitely could read this book again. That's the mark of a great read. You will go to bed dreaming of these characters and contemplating how you would have managed in times such as these.
