Young Colton Burpo has a near death experience and after surviving it he has quite the story to tell. Over the months and years following Colton's surgery, his story of going to heaven and meeting Jesus during surgery unfolds in bits and pieces.

I have to admit, I am a little skeptical about the truth to this story. However, Colton's story does seem to correlate to the prophecies in the Bible about what Heaven is like in ways that a 3/4/5 year-old would not be able to define. Perhaps his parents embellished his story a little, maybe they didn't. In either case, it is a good story about how a Christian family survives one tragic event after the next with the help of God.
