I loved this book. Adichie is an incredible writer. I loved her brilliantly simple and recognizable characterizations and astute cultural observations.
I loved that Efemelu was a messy person - she made choices that weren't always the "right" thing to do, which made her experiences authentic and relatable. Adichie describes Efemelu coming to America from Nigeria and discovering race - writing about race for her blog, and being confronted by racism in surprising and unsurprising places.

I'm pretty sure this is going to remain in my top book list for a long time, but certainly the best thing I've read in the last few months. I was hooked demo the first few pages and kept having to remind myself to slow down as I read. I can't recommend it enough.
