It really was about the author's journey. It encouraged me to go hiking, but beyond that I didn't bond with the character in the book and was disappointed to not hear more about some of the reoccurring characters. I loathed the horse situation and almost stopped reading altogether at that point. ...more

If you've ever needed motivation to hit the trails, seek out more nature in your life, or persevere through any goal you didn't think you could do, this book is for you. It was easy to read and full of a-ha moments as the real-life author depicts her conquering of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Rawr. ...more
