This book.

I said it once, and I'll say it again: this book is just the sweetest, loveliest thing ever. I felt like such a girly, bubbly chick after reading this. Seriously, this pony and I could've been best friends.

I think the best thing about this book is the characters, particularly Cath. She was just completely relatable, I don't think I've ever read a more relatable character. I saw myself in her at many different points throughout the story, and I'm 99.9% sure everyone else did too. Every This book.

I think the best thing about this book is the characters, particularly Cath. She was just completely relatable, I don't think I've ever read a more relatable character. I saw myself in her at many different points throughout the story, and I'm 99.9% sure everyone else did too. Everything in this book was realistic and believable, what with Cath's mommy issues, her father and sister both going a little off the rails, and her insecurities and problems concerning both boys and college.

Reading this actually got me pretty excited for college. This whole time I've been seriously dreading it, but after reading Cath's experiences, I know that it's gonna be a rough ride for a while, but it won't stay that way.

I also really enjoyed the focus on writing throughout the story. I liked reading about Cath's Fiction-writing class. But I think this aspect was a little more enjoyable for me than it would be for other people because I want to major in creative writing when I go to college. So it was kinda like getting a taste of what it might be like for me someday. More importantly, I LOVED all the fanfiction stuff! As a huge fangirl myself, it was nice to read about Cath's strong feelings for fanfiction and for Simon and Baz. I also thought that her internet popularity was really cool.

However, there was some actually heavy stuff in this novel, despite the story itself being pretty light. The stuff about Cath's parents was really sad. I sympathized with Cath and her inability to forgive her mother for walking out on her at such a young age. One of my parents left too, so this just made Cath even more relatable to me. And Cath's father had his little meltdowns after she left. Really sad. But it all works out in the end :)

Lastly, I really enjoyed the relationships in this story. Cath's relationship with her father and sister was a nice one, and it was nice to see her and Wren get back to the way they used to be. I guess blood can be thicker than water. Reagan was cool as well, I really appreciated her sense of humor and she was a great friend to Cath throughout. Best of all, I LOVE Cath and Levi! Seriously, if there was fanfiction for them, I think I would read it. What an adorable and realistic couple! It was like they were just made for each other! Not Bella and Edward made for each other, I mean REALLY made for each other. They had the sweetest moments, and he brought out the best in her and made her a much more interesting character.

Anywho, read this book if you're looking for a nice, light read (though there is some angsty stuff in between), with some great characters. And I'm just going to throw in this picture because it's cute and it uses the book's title :P
