This is the second book I’ve loved in which two boys fall in love with each other despite knowing it’s their last day together. It might be just a coincidence or maybe I just love a bit of tragedy. There is also some mystery, magic, spooky setting, and a good representation of community and family.
Overall, interesting elements which blend together very well

I’ll admit, because of the hype around this, I did have some high expectations. So I was being picky. I kind of wasn’t feeling the plotline…but nevertheless this book had some great character depiction and development.
Each character was so unique and relatable. You just can’t help but love them.
