I have finally finished this series and, to be honest, I don't really know how do I feel about it. This book does not feel like the end, not really.

I absolutely fell in love with the first book of the saga, Red Queen , but after it, the rest of the books were just a big meh. The only thing that saved them was Maven (my favorite character and there is no need to say that after finishing this book I'm DISAPPOINTED AF), Evangeline (my queen) and sometimes, Farley.

I have to say that I expected more I have finally finished this series and, to be honest, I don't really know how do I feel about it. This book does not feel like the end, not really.

I have to say that I expected more in War Storm since it is the last book of the saga, but it felt so... empty? I don't really know how to explain it, but many times I felt as if I was reading and nothing was happening at all. They were planning on what was going to happen next but it felt as if the actual thing, the actual battle, didn't happen at all. It was way too short in comparison to the time they spent talking about it. In my opinion, I think I would have enjoyed this book much more if it were shorter. Still, I need to say, that I haven't had enough Maven. And the chapters from his PoV were the bests. Same with Evangeline, but I just love Maven so much.

I barely care about the new characters that were introduced in the previous books and I just kind of wanted to get over with it. I wanted to know with Maven, Cal, and Mare and I just felt myself wanting to go back to the first book when the story seemed so good and I couldn't stop reading. I really do.

Still, the book wasn't so bad itself. There are many times that I couldn't stop reading and every interaction between the Calore brothers just destroyed me. I think the problem I have is that I fell in love with the world of the first book and then everything changed too much (this had already happened to me when I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, which I loved the first one but the rest were too different from it). Of course, I still enjoy the fights and the alliances between the Reds and the Silvers, but the story seemed to be miles away.

Anyway, I expected so much more from this book and I feel sad about how it all ends. The ending even seems kind of incomplete and I do not know how to feel about it. Yet, I have enjoyed this journey and it was nice reading it. But just because of Maven, so, yeah. You get it.

They might have raised red as the dawn, strong and fierce, but the day was short-lived. In the end, it was just a grey dusk, to my big disappointment.
