AHHHHHHHHH im in love. Ive been so excited for this book and it did more than exceed my expectations. I got swept up in the Caraval world, I did exactly what they said not to, But its impossible not to get swept away.

I've bought Caraval because of bookstagram, everyone was speaking highly of it and they were fascinated by the magic of Caraval and blah blah.
but the question is, was it an overrated book? YES
Am I disappointed? YES
Did I make a mistake buying the whole series? YES

im so confused and dont know whats real
one thing this book does very well is mess with your head. there's such a heavy emphasis on not believing anyone or anything that happens in caraval because it's 'just a game' and isn't real. after the ending, im seriously doubting everything.it is a game, it's not a game, wait it is a game. I seriously don't know what to believe 😔
this was mostly in last 100 pages or so. the book was at a solid 3-3.5 for the first 70% but it earned a 4ish fo ...more

4.5 honestly it could have been a 5 star but Scarlett and Tella really just got on my nerves kinda ruining the book for me. Besides that I really like the idea of this book and how well thought out it was and all the trickery

There was mystery, sisterhood, however the romance it promised, appeared in the end. Also, I didn't even notice... Maybe I skipped something, but it escalated so quickly. Wowwwwww this book was amazing! It was so whimsical and magical, yet filled with mystery and peril intertwined in the Caraval world. There is a HUGE twist at the end, and I have to say, it was wickedly AMAZING!
