I’m sorry to every single Little Women lover out there. I wanted to love this book so much, it’s a classic for goodness sake.

And I tried, I really did. Since January 12 (341 days), I tried to get through the book and enjoy it, but the sad thing is, is I didn’t.

Maybe in the future, I’ll reread this in the future and think, “What was my younger self thinking? This is amazing!” But that time is not today.

The four stars assigned here are not so much a reflection on my *actual* experience with reading this book as they are a rating of how much I'll *probably* like this book when I can (once again, hopefully) appreciate books for their simple domesticity. For the time though, meh. A 3 stars rating is more accurate to my reading experience this go round. ...more

I’d hate to inform you all that if the fate of the world depended on me giving any plot point from this book we’d all end up dead.
