Two years ago I've read the summarized version of it and therefore I conclude I'll stop there for I didn't liked it very well. Analyzing it at the present—in which I enjoyed reading the book— I might be too young the first time that's why I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now. Honestly, how can a 14-year old think of marriage and love as a matter of her concern— nor care for it? The whole plot was engaging and a source of great pleasure. I can't help but think that the last few chapters are quite rushed, the double engagement and all. But I'm not complaining, I love how joyful Jane and Elizabeth has become—which are both of my favorite characters. Jane reminds me of my friend Catherine for they're both sweet, charming and kind. They do think ill of no one and was tender-hearted to everyone. Lizzy on the other hand— who doesn't love her? She's lovely, quick-witted and clever. Her honesty, virtue, and lively wit enable her to rise above the nonsense and bad behavior that pervade her class-bound and often spiteful society. Mary— who I can see myself very well— was epistemophilic, ambitious and well-achieved though she loves to be alone rather than socialize. Kitty, I didn't particularly liked her but I don't hate her either. I'm glad to know that she improved a lot due to the healthy change of acquaintance. Lydia, where do I even begin? She's extremely silly and ignorant. But I can't judge her, she's still quite young and immature. Her thoughts who almost linger about officers and men were nonsensical. But for Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, I respect the man but I can't help but despise the woman but what can we do she only wanted to secure her daughter's future which I think is quite normal for any parent to ever exist. Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner, they're both amiable and family-oriented. For the three son-in-laws— Mr. Bingley, Mr. Darcy and Mr.Wickham, all were a good sort of man but who will say that their favorite is not Mr. Darcy? Well lastly, I hate Lady Catherine and Miss Bingley with a passion of a million suns. As for the rest not mentioned, hahaha I might as well safely say that I don't care about them. I love the book so much! It has increased my love and veneration for Austen's works more. ...more
