WOW just wow!!!! I have so much to say about this masterpiece of a book. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would, this entire book was incredible from start to finish. I beg you to read this book now it is truly worth it. For me, I am very interested in Brujeria and the way that it has transferred through the centuries and this book is super cool with that aspect of it. i started this and i wasn’t quite sure because there were a lot of spanish terms that i wasn’t familiar was and it did take me a while to understand the whole brujx community but once julian came in i was loving it. it was just straight up entertainment from then on and also pretty sad. the ending was so good and i just loved all the characters sm

That was a masterpiece.
As a queer teen I find so many lgbtq+ books written for adults, they may be about teens but they are written for adults. This book felt like it was written for me but also for everyone. The characters were the best representation I have ever seen of queer teens in any book I have ever read. I found Yadriel to be relatable and an overall very well written character.
