Dog… I have a couple. I used to have more, but one went insane and we don’t have that one any more. My wife is still heartbroken over it. I’m not supposed to bring it up.
But of the two we have, the Chihuahua absolutely refuses our instructions to go to the bathroom outside. I mean, this is a dog that will hold his bowels for days sometimes, despite going out every two hours or so, and then, in the middle of the night, sneak out of his bed and find a nice spot to unleash his gift to us all.

I was really disappointed in this book. I thought I'd learn more, but the most interesting thing I learned is that bumblebees can be trained and keep time with a great deal of precision. Not a good sign for a book about dogs.
I think I would have liked this book better if she herself were a researcher participating in these studies, as is, the analysis is light, heavy on the personal antidotes about a dog she owned. ...more
