although the story was interesting, I did not care for the writing. Perhaps because the copy I picked up was large print it also helped skew my perception? I alternated between print and audio, but still the style/syntax felt juvenile. My book club did several 'travelogue' books this year, so that might have also contributed to my lack of interest. Had I read this at another time, perhaps I would have been more engaged.
