My first Christie book. What a tale. So well composed and thought out.
My only issue is with Poirot's perception (similar to the same issue with Moby Dick's "Ishmael") that all people from each nationality subgroup have individual character quirks. I don't believe that all Italians have a likeliness to stab nor that all Brits are cold and distant, and it's a rather illogical viewpoint for a detective.
But - I think that is a product of its time. This was originally published in 1934.
