Believe me, nobody's more surprised of this rating than me.

And it *only* took me 3 years to finally finish this.

also, stan queen nina🙌

I like all the characters (altho Kaz is just meh), but Nina steals the spotlight for me. I love her so much and I'm not ready to see what happens in CK -- my poor girl🥺

But other than her, I don't really have a super strong attachment to the characters??? Maybe only Jesper (I'd be sad if he died), but the other four ahhh I won't complete my sentence.

This book. THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK owns my heart. And THIS BOOK doesn't deserve my trashy review. Let's move on.

Many people state that the characters own this book. That the characters are the best part of this book. I think not.

Why?

Well, it's simple.

The writing, the plot, the world-building also deserve it. It's how beautifully these elements are handled, which compliments the characters. I mean, just look at that!:
A perfect solution, but the Ketterdam weather was not cooperating. There'

[narrator:...and this, readers, is the story of how she died single.]

Ok, here we go. I am not at all mentally prepared to write a review for this book, so pardon me if this goes downhill VERY quickly. Trust me, the moment I get to the characters I will die. Oh wait, I do characters first. GREAT.

The Characters
Kaz:
I actually didn't like Kaz as much as I remember. I'm really sad about that. I mean, he was still an amazing character, but there is a point where you can hide too much. There's a difference between secrecy and outright distru

Before reading this review, please keep in mind that this is my first longish review and it’s probably not that good but here it goes...

Six of Crows is a fantasy novel about six young kids that go on a dangerous heist. They have to rescue a scientist out of a cell and the reward, if they succeed, is enormous. The scientist they have to rescue is extremely important because he has come up with a way to improve a drug, called jurda parem. When this addictive drug is consumed by a Grisha, it c

I wasn't sure if I would like this, but I loved it so much that I ended up adding it to my favorites!! I especially liked Inej Ghafa so I'm making an aesthetic for her and it'll be posted on my blog and on Goodreads really soon!

(5-23) I just posted my aesthetic of Inej Ghafa!! You can see it on my blog here: https://emailsmily.wixsite.com/dragon...

I have FINALLY finished this book after experiencing an anxiety-induced reading slump in the middle of reading it. This was a buddy read with buddies in the Ranters and Reviewers group and I enjoyed the chats that we had.

My favorite part of this book was the characters and how much depth of character they had. I didn't LOVE Kaz as much as everyone else did but I did take a specific liking to Inej and Jesper. (I also liked Nina and Wylan.)

The plot was entertaining but nothing special, although

“The heart is an arrow. It demands aim to land true."

This was such an incredible book, which did not disappoint. The book itself had so many shocking twists, likeable characters, and great world-building, and the story was cleverly written and highly enjoyable. The dangerous, intensifying adventure Kaz and his crew embarked on was full of suspense, hilarious banter, and unexpected moments, which simply made the plot even more engaging.

One of my favourite aspects of this book was reading about ea

OH MY GOD? THAT WAS AMAZING. I CANNOT WAIT TO READ BOOK 2. AHHH. Let me list down some of my thoughts:

* WHY are the characters SO young??? WHY??? It doesn't make sense. In my mind they're all in their 30s.
