AMAZEBALLS!!!
OK so where do I begin?
First of all...I am soooo sorry it has come to and end and I CANNOT wait for the next in the series...by the way when is that?!?!?

The book begins right away and I stopped a few times thinking....I must have started book 2 in the series by mistake....because you don't really get to much insight into the background information on the characters and what is going on. What a great book! Didn't like the cliffhanger at the end, but I will be watching for the next book in the series!

My emotional control over my habit of falling in love with Characters was tested within the first 13% of this book and let me say I was tearing up.

The truth is I have read a lot of really great books so far this year. However to be honest I haven’t found one that really tested all emotions like this book did; Pain, loss, love, fear, insecurities it touched on everything related with these feelings. Why the 4.5 stars then? You might ask… well because the ending made me wa 4.5/5 well deserved stars

No joke I clicked to the next page on my kindle and realized the book had ended… on a cliffhanger of major proportions. Don’t get me wrong I mostly don’t mind cliffhangers, I use them myself, but this is a prime example of why I like to start series once they are completed; so I am not being tortured for the next, oh I don’t know, nine month to a year waiting for the next book. I loved it that much.

Now lets talk a bit about the body of this book. Scarlett has a way of making you fall hard for her characters and even right now as I write this I am musing over all the things that could possibly happen to them. I wanted more romance in the book, there were lots of almost, will they moments that left me wanting so much for our main character Lily and honestly Ezra is what I want for her. Rules and Laws be damned. (he is totally my new book boyfriend and I guarantee I will be rereading this book to get more of him)

All the character is this book are great, Jack and Pearl, the kings, Antonio, oh I could go on so I will just say I love this cast of characters, they are simply fascinating; Mages, Elementals, Shifters and one of my personal favorites Vampires. I can’t wait to read more about the Mysticals and the world Scarlett is creating with the Coms (human) and the Mys (the Mysticals) because believe me when I tell you there is some major issues going on there.

On a side note as I finished King Hall I tried to think of books it reminded me of and one series came to mind: Vampire Academy.
You’ve got Archaic Rules that made me want to scream, Discrimination, Loss and Fear and what I am hoping will bud into forbidden love…
Bravo Scarlett, King Hall reminded me of one of my favorite series yet was still refreshingly different!

Wow!!! From page one I was hooked into this story because the humor was fantastic right from the start. I literally had to force myself to put it down the first night I started reading because I got so caught up that I didn't realize it was almost 4 AM! Normally, I have a hard time getting into YA, but this was an exception. The story was well told and dealt with adult issues without going too far into things for what it was.
The world that Scarlett builds is easy to get into, the characters are well developed with the exception of a couple side characters who I would have loved more details on.
