The first 60-70% of this book was spent building the world and the story. That's usually too long to keep me interested but there were some conflicts here and there plus some breadcrumbs to keep you guessing how it would end. Bout three quarters thru I was like no way they can solve this problem before the end of the book. Will not confirm whether they do or don't however huge cliff hanger at the end. Thankful I can start right on the second. I didn't think that I really enjoyed books like this

A gripping story of a young girl trying to find her way in the world. I enjoyed following Fable on her adventures and accompany her while she discovered who she is and what she wants out of life. If there's any good way to get a reader to read the next book in the series, it's to end it like Young has ended this book. I can't wait to get the sequel and find out what happens next and read about more adventures that Fable goes on.

I really enjoyed this book and world. The cliffhanger got me to immediately buy the second one.
