From someone that doesn't read very much fantasy, this book was a blast. The characters and their relationships with each other were great and they had me laughing out loud a number of times. Honestly, I can't remember a book that made me laugh as much as this one did. If you take your fantasy too seriously, this book might not be for you, but for me it was entertaining as hell. Actual rating: 4.5- I am usually not into adult fantasy, but OMG! This book was epic. I actually tabbed a bunch of pages because I was here for the humor, sarcasm, and witty banter- though I started tabbing at about page 250, so I missed so many great quips in the first half of the book. Either way, I read this as part of a book club selection, which is nice because I would not have read this otherwise. Shelves: fantasy

This was a really good book. So many great characters. And so many great relationships too. There were a few things that were strange plot/character decisions (like hello I’m looking at you Larkspur?!?!) and a tiny bit of repetitiveness here and there but overall a really fun read.
