it took me two tries to get through this book. i really wanted to like it, but i was just so bored. i normally love character driven stories, but i could not for the life of me get behind any of these characters. i dunno. i thought the last third was for sure better than the first two, and i loved the general message, but overall, this book was just so not for me. sad about it.

Possibly my favorite book of the year. The way the book slowly reveals Eleanor's past and the oddities of her current life are so heartbreaking while at the same time hilarious. This book is one of the best I've ever read and it's crazy to me that this was Gail Honeyman's first novel! A must-read for everyone.
