i liked this! such a great premise. and it was a far more complex plot than i had anticipated based on the cover, title, and blurb — a very welcome surprise. i know a lot of people were really into the “banter” between january and gus, but i went back and forth on that — i was into it about 3/4 of the time but the other 1/4 felt too forced, like it was trying too hard, maybe. the ending, though! what a perfect ending.
This book made me sob. The best kind of book.
