I'm not sure what I can say about Dune that hasn't already been said since it's publication. I can only comment on the storytelling and the book as a whole.
I can understand why this is hailed as one of the best science fiction novels of all time. I'm still fairly new to reading SF and the craft of writing, but I can say the storytelling is very complex, yet necessary.
