What Members Thought
Interesting but a very slow read in my opinion. I felt the characters needed a lot more depth. This is my least favorite read by this author
so this was a book club pick and my first read by this author. it is considered historical fiction but definitely based on true stories. it was interesting to learn how things were done so differently in a different timeframe and culture. i am not familiar with a lot of immigration rules and regulations from back then, so i never knew there was such a need to be so secretive to go such lengths by pretending to be someone's 'paper wife' (or even what a 'paper wife' was) in order to immigrate. so
