4.5 stars. McNamara was a brilliant writer and investigator. The epilogue was chilling. Review to come.

Uniquely written. what I liked most about this book was Michelle let readers into her mind as well as the mind of a killer. I've read several true crime books, but this one was a memoir/ true crime. My only disappointment was the flow of the book was VERY uneven which could be because this book was put together after the author passed. I am however, excited to see what HBO will do for this book as a new series

I listened to this on audio. It was a book picked for Peter's book club. I probably would not have picked it up otherwise. It was written more like a news report. It is also graphic at some parts of how each murder was described. Michelle died writing the book but she was obsessed with finding the rapist/killer.
