This novel in verse describes the ordeal of a young girl in Nepal who is unknowingly sold into prostitution in India, and how she finally escapes thanks to some caring westerners.

Listened to this on audio. I had to listen to it slowly because the narrator had an accent that I couldn't understand at a fast speed. It is about a 13 year old girl who is sold into prostitution against her will by her step father. The book is written in verse and at times very poetic. Dropping down a star because of that ending. It just ended! I had to listen to the last chapter twice because I felt like it was missing something.

Trigger warnings: Rape, Prostitution, Abuse. Mature audiences.

Very realistic story. I felt the ending was abrupt.
