What Members Thought
A good graphic novel, appropriate for almost any age, detailing the life of George Takei, this memoir was a little juvenile for my liking. I realize that the format itself lends to its intended audience being much younger, and I did like the story, but I think ultimately, I'm just not a graphic novel fan-- and the art in this wasn't great, IMO, so it didn't add much to the story other than making it more intriguing to kids. I quite like George Takei, even though he sometimes posts really odd and ridiculous things on his Facebook page. So while I like him and liked this graphic memoir, I really can’t find it in me to give it a rating - the artwork is fantastic though!
