Born to a unwed teenager in the Irish countryside, expelled from the Catholic Church and her family to fend for herself and unborn child. This book is told with a se

I'm not sure I can come up with the right words for this amazing novel. I still have tears streaming down my face. Cyril is a far from perfect person. Every seven years we drop-in on Cyril's life. From his tumultuous introduction into the world, his lonely childhood, his selfish choices, his secrets, his moments of joy - Cyril shares his life. ...more

This book will make you laugh, cry, and sigh in exasperation. I love Cyril Avery. This is a story of love, hate, redemption, and Ireland told through the eyes of Cyril in seven year increments. I don't want to say anymore other than this book was an incredible read. Read this one now. Seriously. ...more
