Real Rating: 1.5* of five
This read was down there with Gone Girl in my Hall of Shame. I was squicked out from the get-go by the premise, but got the book for a Goodreads group read...I should just know better than to violate my gut's response.

I expected to dislike this. I don't tend to like books that have high ratings. Living with a mental illness myself I enjoyed this. I think it's one I'll keep thinking about.

Time to reread Eleanor Oliphant. This may not be your favorite book if you don't like how Eleanor thinks, talks, reasons, copes, suffers; how she struggles to understand who she is, how to be "normal" in the world, learns to love, allows herself to be loved ... and has the courage to face the past.
